Mangaluru Math
Ashram provides it's unique facilities to the needy. Prayer Hall, Vivekananda Book World, Sharada Library, Ramakrishna Mission Balakashrama, Vivekananda Vrikshalaya - Urban Forest Project, Swami Vivekananda Coaching Centre, Zero Waste Campus & Office are our facilities which attracting & benefiting the society at large.
Prayer Hall
The prayer hall has the most amazing atmosphere during daily Worship & Bhajans. We have a shrine dedicated to Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sharada Devi and Swami Vivekananda. Daily worship of Sri Ramakrishna is performed by a monk/Brahmacharis of the ashrama at about 7.30 am.
The shrine closes at 12 noon and reopens at 3.30 pm. Sandhyarati starts at 6.30 pm followed by bhajans by the monks, Brahmacharis and students of our Balakashrama till 7.30 p.m. At about 8.15 pm the shrine is closed for the day.

Ashrama has a spacious book exhibition- sales counter on its premises. All the books on life & teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other saints are available in the counter.
Besides, books on Vedanta literature, personality development, value education, spiritual life, and meditation, are also available. Mainly books in Kannada and English are on display and for sale. Comic books for children, Audio and Video CDs having lectures, bhajans and other programmes, attractive posters & Photos and calendars are the special features of our stall.

Balakashrama
Started in 1951, The Balakashrama provides FREE boarding, lodging and educational facilities to about 70 students belonging to economically backward families coming from rural areas, irrespective of caste or creed. The Balakashrama also provides uniforms, textbooks, notebooks, school fees etc to the students.
Know moreSwami Vivekananda Coaching Center
The Mission conducts a survey of the schools of the locality in order to help in the education of the children belonging to backward classes and low-income families. Every working day after school hours, these children are given free coaching under ‘Swami Vivekananda Coaching Center’ at the Math.
Most of these children are weak in studies and often suffer from malnutrition and poor hygiene. The Math has appointed trained teachers to help them in their studies. Children are fed with nutritious meals food and milk after their classes every day. They are provided with toiletries and are trained in personal hygiene.

Sri Sarada Devi Adhyayana Kendra
Our dedicated study hall facility provides a peaceful environment for students preparing for competitive exams like UPSC, NEET, CA and others. This sacred space, named after the Holy Mother, offers the necessary infrastructure for serious study and contemplation.

The Mission has Sharada Library which has around 10,000 books on religion, philosophy, culture, yoga, history, life and teachings of saints and many other interesting topics.
It has a spacious reading room and the members can borrow books to home for reading. It has an audio cassette – CD section as well. A nominal subscription is required.

Swami Vivekananda Auditorium
Swami Vivekananda Auditorium with ample seating capacity and facilities for large events on two floors. Dining Hall is located in the basement. Mega events of our ashram will be conducted in this venue. The artworks, by Late Purushottama Karantha, on the life of Sri Ramakrishna & Maa Sharada are being displayed on the walls of the auditorium & Artworks on Cleanliness are displayed on the walls of the dining hall.

Yoga Hall
The Yoga Hall at Ramakrishna Math in Mangaluru offers a serene and spiritually uplifting environment for yoga practice. Nestled within the tranquil ashram near Mangaladevi, it hosts regular yoga camps and sessions aimed at promoting holistic well-being. The space is designed to support physical, mental, and spiritual harmony, guided by the teachings of Patanjali and the principles of Ashtanga Yoga. Meditation, ethical living, and disciplined practice are central to the experience, making it a sanctuary for self-realization and inner peace.

Our Ashram set a unique precedent by initiating a new concept of urban forests in Mangalore to protect & preserve nature with biodiversity and to promote local flora and much needed green cover in the city.
Ashrama has set up Mangaluru’s first Miyawakis along with 2 other Miyawaki urban forests in Mangalore city under the project title “Vivekananda Vrikshalaya”, two of them on the Ashrama campus itself. In about 10 cents of land in the Ashrama, 54 varieties of 500 saplings have been planted. This was inaugurated on the 2nd of October 2020.
